I'm a pumper

Parker got began insulin pump therapy today.

Me- Parker! You're a pumper now!

Parker- No, I'm a pump MAN.

Meet the Family

Parker is our eldest son. He is six. Parker has been stubborn since the day he was born (as evidenced by the fact that he was two weeks over due). He was diagnosed at 3 years old with Type 1 Diabetes, but has amazed everyone with his ability to test his blood sugars, count carbs and even administer his own insulin via injection. He is quite the charmer and has a soft spot for "the ladies".

Lucy is our lucky little girl as she was born on 9/9/09. Nine happens to be my husband's favorite number, and there's no question that Lucy wrapped herself around her Daddy's little finger from the moment she took her first breath. She is a very determined little girl and doesn't let the word NO stand in the way of what she wants. (Really) Her favorite movie to watch is a Pepe Le Pew Looney Toon that my Grandmother purchased for her in the $5 bin at her local Wal-Mart.
Olivia is our youngest and we call her our "blessing" because she was born on Thanksgiving day. She is one year old and is full of life and energy. Although she doesn't talk much yet, she is well on her way to adding to the hilarity of our household as her personality is already as big as her gorgeous blue eyes.
There's also my husband of 8 years, Andrew. He's a soldier in the US Army (HOOAH BABY). He is an amazing father to our kids.

And then, of course, there is me. What can I say? I'm a fantastic Mother, a terrific home maker, and much like Mary Poppins I am practically perfect in every way.

A Brief Introduction

Being the Mother of three young children is no easy task. Everyday is full of dirty diapers, sassy remarks, temper tantrums, food fights (both real and metaphoric) and utter exhaustion. In between the chaos though, there are moments of sheer joy and, let's face it, hilarity. This blog focuses on those moments.

The moments that make your sides hurt.

The moments that make you smile.

The moments that make being a parent completely worth it.

Enjoy!
